Petra University participated in the march of "No Experience in Drugs", organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration, on the occasion of World Day against Drugs.
University students raised the banner of "Drugs… Loss of Family and Society".They also distributed T-shirts that carried the slogan of the campaign and the logo of the university, on participants in the march, from various government and private institutions, as well as community organizations.

 
Mrs. Afaf Al-Otaibi, in charge of the section of Cultural Activity at Petra University  claimed that the participation of the university in such an event comes as one of its objectives to serve the local community.
Al-Otaibi added that university students are among the groups rated in danger of falling into the trap of drugs, so it was necessary for educational institutions and schools, to raise for her students awareness of the dangers of drugs and its devastating effects on life of individuals, family and community, through participation in those activities.

It is noteworthy in this regard that, the university has participated in the campaign, launched by the Central Traffic Management, of Directorate of General Security, under the heading (Our Goal ..Your Safety). This  campaign was organized - on the side of the XIII Conference of Heads of Traffic Organizations in the Arab States - in order to shed light on traffic accidents, and the resulting human and material losses. Twenty students from Petra University Participated in the march arranged under above heading*.
